I'm trying to multi-axis rough a propeller part in 2024. As soon as I turn on the

"Intermediate slices" option ---- "Cut Pattern" ---- Depth Step, it will not generate a tool path. Why?

Blades have compound angles and this toolpath would help decrease run-time.

Any insight would be helpful.

Unfortunately, due to the nature of my job, I am unable to attach any files.

Please and thank you for any advises/suggestions

Are you using the Pocketing or Blade Expert toolpath?  It would be incredibly helpful if you could provide a file, of course, but it sounds like you don't have either a stock defined nor a containment.  It's possible that you don't have the input geometry selected correctly.

When you use Pocketing without turning on Intermediate slices, do you have normal tool path generation?
If so... could you screenshot some pictures of the tool paths? ...and pictures of the Intermediate slices parameters

I've seen this alarm under 2 circumstances when using containment boundaries in ModuleWorks toolpaths

1. The chain I've defined is not closed

2. the chain I've defined is not in the machining plane
