You fellas running dual monitors...

 

I just got myself set up with a second monitor, both units are higher-end 19" CRT's (Viewsonic P95f+, and a Sony/Dell Trinitron) I'd rather have 2 identical units, but oh well...

 

Anyhow, when I park them closer than about an inch together, I get the magnet-next-to-a-monitor syndrome. Any tips? I was thinking about looking for a thin sheet of lead to place between them.

We have such problems with viewsonic. You can even use a plywood sheet or try to move monitor apart.

Or ditch the CRTs and go with two LCDs

I've got 2 flat screen LCD's. It's great to have design on one screen and CAM on the other. Wouldn't go want to got back to a single monitor. The dual monitor setup is so handy and t here is the "really cool" factor.

mine work pretty good together. Do you have a degause {sp} button on yours? It may help to press it after they are together.

Yeah, I've degaussed em' both, but it doesn't last . I would have thought that better quality monitors would be shielded....hmmm I bet McMaster Carr sells lead sheet..

 

Wish I had the $$$ for the flat screens, but beggers can't be choosers!
