What was the sending system? and what was the tolerance?

I am weak in surface modeling but it may be possible to re-trim the surfaces.

Other thoughts:

1)

I believe that the fastest way around Iges problems is to read it into a modeler that has a more robust translator and then export to Mastercam. IE: Solidworks, Inventor etc. These types of "full power" modelers always seem to translate better. Many would say this is cheating but it gets the job done fast.

2)

Many times, Iges problems are just because the tolerances are to loose so, if possible, have the customer crank down the tolerance to .00002 or less. The tighter the better.
