What is this file associated with the post file called .txt ? I notice that my fadal.pst does not have a fadal.txt file associated with it. What is it? How does one create it.

The post text file is used to modify post specific menus in Mastercam.

Misc Integers and Reals, Drill cycle parameters and the Canned Text menus are the most common.

Modifing or creating the text file will not change the way your post behaves.

For example if you want to use Misc. Integer 10 to output a M00 before operation [0=No,1=Yes]. The post file would need logic hooked up to Mi10 variable for this to work.

The text file would just show the question in Misc Int/Reals dialog box.

Also, in the *.txt file you can have the title of the Post shown by making your line that looks like this;

"Post processor:",

Look Like this

"Post processor: insert your machine name here",

This serves no other real purpose than to identify the post that is currently active when you go to NC Utilities, Post Proc.
