I'm having a little trouble using the wcs. Only because I'm still trying to grasp a full understanding of how and when best to use it. When I toolpath in the system view #1-top, and then switch to system view #4-bottom and toolpath, it seems to work just fine. But the posted code changes work offsets from g54 to g55, etc., from tool to tool depending what view I'm toolpathing in. I like the work offset to post with each tool, but need g54 to remain static throughout the program. I don't understand what I'm doing wrong. The same thing is happening when I create new views in the wcs. I'm using the mpmaster from this site. Mastercam is up to date.

Create a copy of bottom in WCS. In WCS right click -> create -> copy, locate your origin change Work offset # to 0.

set your G54 under the attributes for each WCS

Thank you both. That clears things up. It looks as though copying of a system view and editing the parameters or creating a new view will get the same result. Is this true? I think part of my problem was trying to edit a system view.

That is what I always do. Copy it first. Than right cilck over the new view and create a new view relative to selected, if all I'm doing is flipping the part. All I have to do is select bottom.

You can also change it when you do the toolpath, by clicking the T/C plane button. You will see Work offset in the lower left corner. But the way Mayday and John stated works better. It keeps all toolpaths in that view on the same offset, without having to select it each time.
