Key Creator 4.0

We have a customer that just upgraded their software to Key Creator 4.0. Now, I am not able to open .sat files from them. We are running MR0105. Has anyone had this problem? Is there a fix available?

when they "sat" out, have them go under options and select a earlier sat version.

KC 4.0 uses Accis 14 but can output any version back to 1.2. You need to find out what version of ACCIS the curent Mastercam translator supports and ask your customer to supply that. Parasolid is an option as well.

 

KC 3.0 was Accis R 12.

 

I would thnk Mastercam should be up to at least 12.

To check the Mastercam version, You could try to write a .SAT file out of mastercam.

The one at the top of the list will be the newest version that Mastercam can export and hence read

Thanks for the replies. I tried to convert the .sat files in to parasolids with solidworks but I am still get an error message because of the later version. I was hoping not to make this the customers problem.

if you have solid works then use the MCDirect option or you could just convert .sat to .iges and then import to MC with no problem.

I export from KeyCreator 4.0 w/ parasolid export.

No Problems KC4.0->Mcam or Mcam->Kc4.0
