Haas TM-1 question

Does anyone know how to disable the hold /run button? We just got the machine in and and the manager wants to disable it.

Joey no I don't, and not that you care, but I think that is a really bad idea. It could be a safety issue and is sure to void your warranty. Just food for thought.

Are you talking about the safety switch on the side of the console?

here is how to disable the hold/run button. I don't believe this voids any warrenty since it is a software changable option but, you might check. You will have to change it everytime the machine is powered up since it is a factory default.

 

 

push settings graph key, page down 1 time, change setting 51 from off (use arrow key) to on (enter by hitting write key)

one shot to the answer to your question is yes.

forgot the last step you must say yes to the question you are changing this to a less safe condition. if you get setting 51 to stop blinking this should disable the button? allthough you TM-1 may be newer than ours.

Go Navy had it right.

must 1st hit mem button.

Then graph/setting button twice.

go down to disable hold/run button, hit righr arrow button.

then hit enter.

then hit "Y"

This works on my TM2. have to do it every time I fire it up.

Can do it permantly, but that will viod warrenty.

+1 TO GO NAVY I HAVE A TM1 WHEN YOU FIRE IT UP DO YOUR HOME RETURN,HIT SETTINGS BUTTON,TYPE IN 51,PUSH THE DOWN ARROW,PUSH THE RIGHT ARROW KEY TO ON,THEN HIT THE ENTER BUTTON.WORKS EVERY TIME.YOU CAN ALSO MAKE TOOL CHANGE WITH NO DELAY(NOT AS SAFE BUT CUTS ALOT OF MACHINING TIME)EMAIL ME IF YOU WANT THOSE STEPS.

the machine that haas sells in europe cant be turned off this way some thing to do with CE???its the same as the door open overide on a regular haas setting 51 like was said before that button sucks and we also turn it off every morning at start up as well as the door open overide on the enclosed machines

I ended up calling the people at Haas. I had to change something in the parameter page before I could get the setting 51 to work.
