NC Verification

The company which I work for is considering the purchase of an NC verification software. We have outsorced some programing when I am busy and there is no way for us to verify the programs without running them since they are files which have been posted for the machines. I'm just curious to find out what others are useing and why.

I've been using Predator VCNC for about 5 years

It is easier to use the Vericut, but its not

as powerful either. Its about 1/3 the cost of Vericut.

I've emailed this thread to my dealer, so he will probably get in touch will you soon.

I don't use Vericut I use something cheap, MacGen

which I use with Smartcam and now MC. At the price of Vericut I find it hard to justify but I don't do any 5 axis work but its coming. Who knows , some day.

If you want competition with Vericut you can look into delmia Corp. . We decided that vericut was better for us but I got a webex demo and they can actually do more than Vericut if you get all the options. Delmia also uses Parasolids rather than STL's. They are slightly more costly though and it appeared more difficult to learn.
