Well the other big difference is the heat that the P4 puts off verse the M processors. I have heard of P4's lap tops being so hot they could burn yopu were as the M's dont even get above room temperture and having seen what heat can do a to a P4 would go the M processor first.

the one thing you need to really pay attention to is the video card, ati cards dont always work correctly. try going online to the diffrent pc companies. they usually will list what is in the unit.

There currently aren't any notebook P4 CPUs with 2MB of cache; only the M's (4's and M's). Either way, we have many Inspiron 5150s and we've had many problems with them, likely caused by overheating (they run at 50 degrees Celcius and much higher).

 

I like the M70's. The Quadro FX Go graphics really pack a lot of ooomph.

Just got a Dell LATITUDE D810, and love it. I run mastercam and Pro E with no problems.

Bullines Check out the HP ZD8000 and the Compag x6000, they both offer 600 series P4's

Kewl. Hope those chassis are well-cooled, since many of our Inspiron 5150's are paying the price (Dell now has one lone P4 offering and it features a vastly larger chassis than ours...likely to accomodate more fans/heatsinks).
