Hi All

Question... I found on the cadcam's FTP Site a training file called McamX training .Tmp

Does anyone know anything about it?

And how do you open a Tmp file?

Thanks again

Also I tried to open the Harley Davidson file,

when it opens up in Mcam, it comes up, but so does the hour glass, hour glass stays on and locks up my computer, causing me to do a hard boot. confused.gif

Hi All:

Don´t worry about this file becouse you just have to change the extension but it doesn´t an executable file, is a simple change to zip file, yes, you only have to change .tpm by .zip, .iso, .rar, ETC and then just enjoy it becouse it´s really great!!!!

you can change the file extension with "total commander" it´s very useful program. and then you can open it with winrar program.

that´s all my friends enjoy it

regards!!

60 megs took an hour, on cable?

WOW, something don't seem right about that. Did you download that during peak usage hours?

I am on cable and can do 60 megs in about 10 minutes, less sometimes.

I usually check my speeds at 3Meg at various speed test sites, but its probably the server that is limiting my speed.

quote:

Speed

3 megabits per second

Communications 3 megabits per second

Storage 367.8 kilobytes per second

1MB file download 2.8 seconds

Subjective rating Awesome

Explain results

Info

Date & time Sunday, June 5, 8:20AM*

Test type IDT4 Free

Connection type Cable

Region Michigan

Data size 1024KB

I would think if you were downloading that file while other people were also downloading files that your speed would be limited. But I just downloaded a 63.3 meg file in 18:02.

Now, I would suspect at this time of the morning there is no one else doing anything of substance of the FTP server.

It's either that or there is a router bottleneck somewhere between your node and Jays server.

I ran a test on my connection also, I received quite similiar results, just slighly improved over yours. Same site I assume, bandwidthplace.com.

BTW sorry for the hijack guys
