converting v8 to v9 to prep for X release

What's the protocol for converting files. Will V8 files readily convert to X? Is there a batch utility for converting multiple files? Should we begin the process of converting all V8 files to V9.1 so they will easily convert to X?

 

We are not in the habit of having multiple versions of MC installed on our computers. What's the MC community doing when it comes to new versions?

I was told that X would open 7-9

there is a batch file some were on he FTP that would talk a folder of MC8 file and convert them to Mc9

when 10 comes out we will delete all version 9's and immediately start using 10 without any training. that's how we do it here

You will be able to bring in the whole dir if you want, no need for any special utilities.

 

Thats all I'm saying about X other than the fact that all you guy's and gal's are going to love it.

Be careful when converting from v8 to v9. File compare programs to make sure they post out the same, especially if have proven programs you use over again. Depending on the operations, you may need to tweak a few settings to get the same tool moves in v9.
