If you make program for many machines and very often in Inch & metric mode

What you do

1)Make each machine 2confiration one in Inch Other in metric

2)Or change configuration all the time when you make program in inch at inch configuration and in metric mode change configuration to metric

3)Do you have any other easy method

Please some can give some idea

I always scale the geometry. If something comes in metric, I scale it to inch. All the machines are set to inch, gauges are inch, tool library is inch.

You could have alternate configurations at startup. Edit the target line in the Mastercut shortcut (example C:Mcam9Mill9.exe RobsMill.Cfg) you could load any of your custom .cfg's.

If you run in metric you will have more precision.

Do the math 0.001mm is smaller than 0.0001 in.

Most CNC machines run more precise and faster in Metric than imperail as well.

Yeah but the precision is going to depend on the accuracy of the machine tool anyway. Most production CNC's aren't going to be able to resolve .001 mm (.00003937).
