Mastercam X Transition Guide

Recommended Posts

The Mastercam X Transition Guide details the procedures existing Mastercam users should follow to migrate their settings, libraries, parts, and posts to Mastercam X. You can use the Migration Worksheets in this book as a checklist for moving to Mastercam X. It is delivered in Adobe Acrobat (PDF) format and also as a printed book with each Mastercam X system. Click here http://www.mastercam.com/x/MastercamX_Transition_Guide.pdf to download this PDF file. You must install the Adobe Reader (version 4.0 or higher) to view the PDF format documentation that accompanies Mastercam X. To download the Adobe Acrobat Reader, go to the Adobe Web site, www.adobe.com, and choose the Get Adobe Reader button on the left side of the page.

Note: The PDF version of the Transition Guide includes a new section 3.1.6, "Inch and metric machine definitions," that does not appear in the printed version.

Thanks Ken, this was a real help. cheers.gif

I haven't gotten my X yet, but this guide looks like it will be very helpful when I'm ready to make the switch. I've been running some long cycle time parts lately, so I've had time to browse through the guide. I'm sure I'll still have questions when the time comes, but at least I'll have the basics covered. biggrin.gif
