I have a simple question,if I setup up 2 or 3 vises on a hurco vm1 and want to machine the same part on each vise,but want to face each part with tool 1 then change tools and machine each part with that tool,and so on.do I need a post that supports that or can I do that with transform.

Toolpath transform will do what you are looking to do.

Could you tell how to do this.When I use transform it completes the first part,then goes to the second part and completes that one.I am just trying to cut down on tool changes.

In the Ops manager you can drag and drop the operations into the order you want, then regen.

Dont pick all the operation. Just pick the face. Then do another Transform (or copy the first) and then select the second Op and so on.

 

If you say transfor and pick all the Ops. It does all the ops and then moves to the next part.

Um......isn't there a box you can check to sort operation by order or type in the transform parameters dialog box....

Try using the old editnci.dll you can copy and past your op and change your workoffset location there then use sort tools.

Program your part like you are going to do it in 1 vise.

 

In your operation manager highlight your operation group.

 

Right click, tool part> transform

Type> translate

Method> Tool Plane

Group NCI> operation type

 

Work offset numbering> assign new

start 0

increment 1

 

I always click copy source and disable posting

 

Translate tab

x spacing 0

y spacing 0

x steps 3 if you want 3 vises

y steps 0

 

This will output your program G54, G55, G56

and do each op to each vise then change tools

I got it,I just played around in tranform and got it to do what I wanted.just like jmparis explained.
