M01 after every Op

Ignore last post. How do I insert M01, optional stop after every operation for SAME tool, without keying it into the code?

We insert "M01" in ltlchg0 in the post processor.

 

Actually our ltlchg and ltlchg0 are nearly identicall because is easier to continue an Abort program.

click on "Change NCI" in each operation and in there is a check box for "force toolchange".

The checkbox is also in the operation parameters for each set of geometery.

Is there a place that you can get the force toolchange to default (checked) I would like it to force toolchange all the time. It would make it easer to restart at the machine. And I also have a mo1 with the tool change so they can run more than one mill safer.

screen/configure/nc settings/ops defaults......open Defaults.mc9 and go into each toolpath and set them up like you want to default. I think there is inches and a metric one.

Does this person run only one part quantities? If not, why would you want to force a tool change after every operation?

Tim - he is moving or rotating the part in a special fixture after every operation with the same tool. This is only becuase they don't have a rotary head. I told them to get themselves one, but no, they have more fun making complex fixtures for a single part!!! But my buddy was happy this morning anyway!

I thought that it worked. It shows a check mark in the defaults/change nci/force tool change but it does not carry thru in my operations it comes up with no check mark.

ChrisH If you are using a special operations library, I think you will have to edit that one also.

 

I had to edit my associated PRM's and and my default OP library.

 

Maybe someone else can explain it better.

 

Also look at the dir paths and file usage paths
