HASP NOT FOUND

Ok, here it goes...my boss allowed me to take the sim or hasp home with me so i may practice a little bit (yeah right , lots and lots too many changes on X).

I installed it but then when i try to open X..."hasp not found" warning comes up...hasp utility shows everything is find.

any clues?

Only a thought, but I swop my HASP between 2 stations day and night, and it seems only to find the HASP if you replace it with the computer off and restart. if you just plug it in although it tells you its there it cant find it.

Carlos,when I took my sim home to 'play',i also had this problem with hasp not found and it was just not plugged in the back of my parrallel port very good....

Has the hasp been updated for version x ?

 

Has this hasp run "X" on another PC ?

 

You should have gotten new codes with your "X" CD...

it runs mcamx at work, also version 9

If v9 is on the computer then go to the v9 start folder and use cnc reg to regiister those two dlls.

 

It could be that your not signed in as admin when installing.

Does your usb hasp lights up at all?

If not try different usb port...

what about the name?..when installing asks for name and organization..it has to be the same names?

I had the same problem when I installed it on a new computer, the reason for my error was that Microsoft updated its operating system in service pack 2 but they forgot to tell aladdin Hasp manufacturers about it so the system drivers are not compatible with service pack 2 on new machines or machines that had not previously installed aladdin hasp. In order to fix it you will need to load a new driver for the hasp from aladdin, it gets a little tricky because it has to be done in the DOS enviornment, suggest you look at their web site or contact your local aladdin rep
