Alt+O doesn't seem to work when verifying. It exits out of verify if I use it.

I was hoping to be able to get rid of the ops manager in backplot too, with no luck. It kicks me out of backplot as well.

Sliding the window works, but it's annoying.

foolsh,

Does Alt+O kick you out of verify too? What about backplot? After I get kicked out, Alt+O won't bring the ops manager back either. I have to drag the window back out.

I was always under the impression that verify and backplot were functions of the ops manager.

quote:

i was thinking the operation manager could be switched off during verification

Isn't it not being visible the same as it being turned off? I'm just trying to understand what you're looking for.

Subject: Hiding the Operations Manager when Backplot or Verify is running.

The change described will be part if X in the future, but you can do this now.

Editing the Mastercam.FT file is something that is not recommended!

So backup this file before making the edit described below!

Do not do this while X is running…

In your main X folder (this will usually be MCAMX) locate the mastercam.ft file and load it into a text editor.

You did make a backup copy first, right?

Locate this section in the file ->

code:

FUNCTION CPP "ViewOpManager"

SBMP 7506

LBMP 7507

TIP 33060

UICALLBACK "UpdateViewOpManager"

END_FUNCTION

And add the “INLINE” line exactly as shown below ->

code:

FUNCTION CPP "ViewOpManager"

SBMP 7506

LBMP 7507

TIP 33060

UICALLBACK "UpdateViewOpManager"

INLINE

END_FUNCTION

Save this altered mastercam.ft and start X.

Now when Backplot or Verify is active, if you click on the Op. Manager or Graphics area and do the ALT-O, you can toggle OFF/ON the Op. Manager without the active function closing. Note that this affects more than Backplot and Verify. You can toggle the Op. Manager state when the Chaining dialog is active, etc.

******

Do NOT start dropping "INLINE" into other items in the mastercam.ft.

The result may not be desirable.
