BOSTO BD40 Question

Good Morning,

 

We have an old Boston Digital BD40 machine with the BDC 4000 controls. I've been trying to figure out the GCODE for machine home (eg. on most modern machines it's G91 G28 Y0.) Does anyone have experience with this control and machine? If so, and if you know the proper code could you give it to me?

If memory serves me correct you just need to command

it a distance greater than what you got.

ex.. If its 10. in Z and 8 in Y:

Go Z15 Y10, will take it as far as it can go.

The only way to send a Bosto of that vintage to home position is to manually reset/origin the machine (there is no such GCODE), then you lose your part origin.
