Invalid arc in backplot

Anyone know why we continually get an ivalid arc error in mill when we try to backplot toolpaths? Programs run fine on the machines. They are real arcs, not splines. Is there a way to turn off this alarm?

i had the same thing in wire x. got no response from anyone. my reseller said it was a bug. backplot just goes crazy sometimes. hopefully they will fix it.

We have the same problem and even our Mastercam Guru can't figure it out.

I tried searching "invalid arc" and came up with del's post with no responses.

We are just ignoring the alarm now because if we post the program everything is fine. I was just trying to find a better explaintion of it.

Sorry, not allowed to put the file up.

It's a 3-d solid model from Pro-E. We are trying to contour using edge curves.

Seems like some of the tangent points aren't perfect. and had to make the 1.0mm endmill .005mm smaller to fit into 1.0mm dia corners.

I think X is a little more picky on these things. No big deal, the parts are still cutting right.

I been having the same problem. Highly anyoing to get that warning message when ever I backplot. When I see it next time I will put file up.

Anybody still have this problem in X? You might check the tolerances in config. I was having this problem and somehow the system tol, min arc size and max arc size were changed.

 

Sys tol was .000000000001 or something like this

max arc size was set to .78

 

Reset to normal and problems went away.

jims got it. when i changed some tolerances in config, started getting errors. then went back to prior config and no more errors.
