Has Anyone Seen This One? " Currupt Or Invalid File" I Am Using MR1

The infamous 0 byte file save.

This has happen to me dozens of times in V9.

I have had this happen to me once while using X. I have no clue why it happened.

I hit Save and the little window popped up

and said "Restoring NCI file" or something like that.

You get that every time you save, but its usually

gone so fast you can't read it.

This time, the window came up and the system locked. I had to ATL/Ctrl/Del out of it.

When I tried to open my file again it said

"corrupt or invalid file" The filesize was 0 and my work was gone.

I just had that happen to me on Friday.

 

Furtunately I am using a VBS to back-up my work independently of Mcam.

 

There are several on the FTP sight in the VB_Scripts folder. Archiver and SaveBackup.

 

I use the Archiver and it works pretty efficiently.

Can you set a button to run an individual VBS script instead of having to go in and Run VBscript, choose the one you want and then run it?

You can on V9.

 

I haven't been able to do it in X yet, the best I've been able to do is set up a hot key to the vbs window. I haven't inquired if there is a way to run specific vbs in X. I was thinking of requesting that it be added to one of the releases but I haven't got around to it.
