MCX MR1 backplot in contour ramp...

Mark,

You can change your backplot settings, but by default, endpoints is selected. BTW, the toolpath still shows a complete circle, but the cutter looks like it's standing still.

I rarely use the verify feature in backplot, but I noticed recently (it may have always been this way) that when backplotting what you describe, the verify doesn't wipe out the entire circle. Is that what you meant?

Thad, that doesn't bother me much here, but it gets weird fast when running some even simple contour and all you see is "endpoints".

BTW display end points is unchecked.

I use backplot extensively here so I'm concerned.

I avoided many all of the graphics issues some of you had so I'm hesitant to play with it now... wink.gif

Just to clarify some possible confusion, the endpoints default that I was referring to is in the backplot config settings (you can use endpoints or interpolate), not an icon on the backplot dialog box.

Bellyup, looks like we have the same backplot settings but your file backploted fine.

I started to play with ramp parameters and it appears that's where the problem is.

Just change your ramp motion depth from .01" to .2" and you'll begin to have problems....

In short, how steep your ramping motion is appears to make a big difference in backploting. headscratch.gif

Can anyone confirm it?
