Hitachi Seiki Post

Hi,

 

I am wondering what post i can use on a Hitachi-Seiki with a Seicos MIIIE contrler.

 

For rigid taping it uses G841 and G842.

 

The machine is about 10 years old a VM40II

Did you try a forum search for 'Seicos' ?

Ask your reseller if they have a post for the machine or if they could modify an existing post for you. That'd be where I would start looking. If you have a post that's close and want to know how to modify it yourself, I'm sure there are plenty of members who will be glad to help. Just be careful and don't ask anyone to give you something they have spent any amount of time modifying for themselves. At least not without returning the favor. HTH

Any Fanuc post will work fine for this machine we have about 40 here and we use the same post for them as our Fanuc's.

If it as Ron says [probably is since Ron is a sharp fellow] then it is simple enough to modify the Fanuc post to output the rigid tapping codes.
