MR2 videos

In past releases, the videos where files that we just dumped in the documentation folder. Now there's an install .exe. During the install, does it look for MR2 to be installed? I'd like to watch the videos at home since we don't have speakers on the MC seats here at work. Only the privileged have speakers. I only have Demo (original version X) at home and wondered if the videos will have trouble installing.

Better yet, does MC even need to be installed on the computer to watch the videos?

if you go to the web page you can download the .exe file so you probably do not have to have anything installed. To download I don't recommend. I've got a very fast connection here at work and it still looks like a long time.

Took me about 20 minutes at home last night.

 

It's 224 meg I think.

You can also go here (Multimedia page on Mastercam.com) and download just the MR2 videos without having to do any installation. They're at the bottom of the Web page.

I can't be too fast. It took me just over 7 minutes.

 

I just ran the .exe on a non MC seat and it plays the videos just fine. The installation created the necessary folders on the C drive.

 

I wanted to see what would happen before I tried it on my screaming 550 MHz computer at home.

Only took me 13 min. at home over a wireless conection to my laptop. I love broadband!
