tapping

I've been programming lathes for awhile, but have just recently started with mills, anyway my question is, where can i find a good guideline for tapping, speeds and feeds ect. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

I power-tap and let MC do the feeds and speeds. It works good for me.

I'm trying to tap 300m (modified 4340) 1/2 20, I did not see it in the library. Here comes my dumb question, what do you mean by power tap? Rigid tap?

Power tapping just means u are tapping it on the mill. If u dont have rigid tapping, u can use a tapping head. FYI, the tapping head will tap deeper than what u program, so start shallow until u get a feel for how much. Hope this helps.
