Heidenhain help

A new Hermle C40 will be at our shop in a couple of weeks. I am already programing my first ever 5 axis part and trying to learn the Camplete software that came with the machine. My problem is in my 10 years in the trade I have only ran and programed FANUC based machines was wondering if there are any on-line sources for info on Heidenhain. On Heidenhains web site I found some downloadable service manuals but they all seem to be for service personal only since the are password protected.

We have just put our first 5 axis machine on the floor (Mikron) and have Camplete with it as well. I am doing 3+2 right now using Cycle 19 and a 3 axis post. I will have to learn the Camplete as the parts present themselves.

Has Mastercam ever gotten around that Cycle Def 19 yet?...and how did they solve it?

Yep. We use a post from Inhouse. I can post some code when I get in on monday.

Hi Daryl_y

 

Your shop has just bought one of the best 5 axis machines in its class. I've been running/programming a C40U for 3 years now.

 

Have just got a new job at our local Hermle reseller. I'm going to make demos and all that stuff. A couple of months ago I did a costumer demo at the Hermle factory in Gosheim Germany on a C30U with a 28k spindle.
