Tool numbers and tool offstets

I have about 20 tools in this program. The tools in my tool manager are all out of wack. Some tools have the same tool #s. Some tools dont have offsets that match the tool #. Some tools use the same tool #. I tried to renumber my tools but that got me in more of a mess. My question is how do you properly re-number the tools so the offsets match and their are no duplicate tool #s used.

In your Toolpath Manager. In the "Properties",

"Tool settings", in the "Toolpath Configuration" window, use the checkbox for "Assign tool numbers sequentially". When you create or import your tools they will be numbered in order.

 

To renumber the existing tools, In the Toolpath Manager, select all operations for the tools you want to edit, right mouse click, edit selected operations, renumber tools, and follow the dialog box to change the tool numbers.

Hi guys.

When I renumber tools all the tools renumber fine but the offsets don't change. I'm looking fot T1, H1, D31 and so on. Is there a switch I'm missing? I works fine with a diff. post but I cant find a differance.

3pt yes, if you always use T1 H1 D31 format

 

in yoiur control def you can set it to add a specific number to the value.

Ya. I stupid. I had the add to offset switch turned off instead of on with add "0"

I check the "add to tool" in the tool page of the control def (each one) and then put a zero in the length adn dia boxes.

I also uncheck "Assign tool numbers sequentially" and use get from tool for coolant ect...
