Tools in library missing

When I select a tool library I can see the tools in the window only in some of the existing libraries but not in the ones I imported. How do I copy an existing library and rename it like I did in version 9. There are different file extension do I just use the tool file?

Copy by finding your tool directory find the lib you want copyand paste it and rename.

I tried that and when I make a toolpath and select a tool from that library no tools appear, mabey I am overseeing something?

HOw did you bring your V9 libarry into X?

 

You cannot just copy it

 

USe File >> import directory and choose the extnesion and file and then save it aa a vx library

Is the filter limiting what tools you are seeing in your library?

 

I'm a little unclear on what you're trying to do. When you say imported, do you mean they used to be V9 libraries and you used File-Import Directory to update them to X? If so, now they should have a .TOOLS extention instead of .TL9.

 

If you want to copy an existing library and then make edits to it, copy the file in Windows Explorer and rename it. This is not a substitute for importing a directory as mentioned above. You can't just rename a .TL9 file to .TOOLS.

I imported my tooling directory from version 9 using import and I selected tl9 files but I couldn't open them in version x (had to compress?) where do I compress the files?
