I.T. seems to think it might have something to do with Windoes update that ran on Saturday.

I just ran every available windows update, and it still works fine here. The only thing I can think that it may be is someone may have updated your video drivers. Try rolling them back.

Yes I can open any MCX file I want.

Also I am currently running MR2, but I have MR1 in a seperate install (side by side). It happen in MR1 also.

My I.T. guy got it working, not correct but works. When I select a file type my file extension dose not update automaticly. Dose not redirect to appropriate directery either.

In the Contol Panel there is a Mastercam X field.

You can control the appearance and properties of the File Open Dialog box with it.

I think you have yours set to "Windows Standard"

Try changing it to "Mastercam X"

The file extension problem when you "Save as"

something other than MCX is a pain. Its a bug and its fixed in X2

Well that is what I.T. did to fix the problem. If I switch back to MasterCam X from Windowes standard I get crashes again.

I know about the file extension problem with save some. But when you pick file open>> type .IGS>> it would default to the appropriate file extension, not now.
