linking surface!!!

Hi ,

Anyone know How to link the surfaces (join)?.We can splite the surface in Mcam x2.But don't know how to link the surface?

I don't think it's possible, unless you are talking about trimming?

I have seen this in other softwares but not in MC.

try create curve on all edges of the two surfaces. then use net surf and create one surf on another level. just a thought.

I'm not sure what the point of joining would be.

 

Usually surfaces are separate for reasons that they are totally different.

If you have the solids option you can create a "SOLID FROM SURFACES" which will give you either a "sheet" or a "body" depending upon how many surfaces you selected and whether they can actually form a "closed solid".

 

I often create solid sheets to trim solid bodies.

 

The point is you can't trim a solid by a group of surfaces unless you stitch them into a sheet first.
