No cursor on graphics field Ver 8.0

I've got a bit of a problem, I was hoping someone might know about.

 

I've got Mastercam version 8.0, and my cursor wont show up on the graphics field, although it does show up on the menu screen section.

 

I've tried switching colors, settings, mice, anything I could think of to no avail.

 

Graphics card is ATI Radeon x300 SE and I use a Logitech MX518 mouse, though I did try switching that to a regular roller... TKS in advance to any help.

I remeber this, there was a mouse setting under control panel.

Its been along time, try doing a serach.

i wish it was that easy, I had tried that, and just retried them all, on reading your reply. still nothing.

What video card are you using?

I'd do a search on the card you have there is plenty of info in MC search.

I had that problem long time ago and I had to change the screen colour to a dark gray or green. It was ugly but functional.

It's the ATI card. Search this forum for more info than you could possibly read on ATI and MC not playing nice. There are ways to fix it.

I remember that when the company I worked for got V8 they also got me a new puter with a Radion card. They thought it would be great as the IT guy was a gamer....

Like Thad said, it's the ATI card.

 

NVIDIA is a good choice for MC 9 and lower.

Couple of things to try. First right click on desktop, properties, settings, advanced , troubleshoot, turn graphics acceleration down to 1 bar above none, ok. Second go to appearence, effects, turn off use the following transition effects, ok, ok. Hope this will help.
