Hi Guys'

We reecently bought a small high precision cnc lathe with C axis, It was supposed to be coming with 21I-TB control but arrived with 0I-TC control, can anybody tell us if we are better off with 0i-tc control or we were ripped off.

Thanks

In a prior life I had a Fanuc 32i-T on a (semi) high precision lathe with C axis and it was an awesome control. The 21 is a decent control as well. In this shop we have lots of the control you got, and it's not as good. Not bad, just not as good.

Don't know what the diff would be though, cause ours don't have C on out O series or 21 series.

I believe the main difference in these controls is processing speed (99% of the time, not an issue on a lathe) and the max number of axes you can contol simultaneously - even then, not sure about that one.

The 21i usually has a Card Reader on the front operator panel and I believe the O series on a Kia does not. Other than that, pretty much a wash.

I want to say 2MB of machine memory.

The largest difference between the controls is number of simultaneously controllable axes. The next difference would be processor speed. After that, not much difference.
