I/m not sure exactly what you are trying to accomplish but you do know you can use your proven part stl that saves in verify as a basis for rough stock in rest mill?

Then you could continue on machining

k, just wasn't sure.

There was an stl2surf chook in V9, I think if the part got to complex it had troubles though.

Colin Gilchrist has a piece of software at his place on employ that might do what you need

I just download Stl2surf from ftp to my c-hook directory. When I open this c-hook it give the message as "Could not load file or assembly file cmcamx2chooksstl2srf.dll or one if its dependencies. The module was expected to contain assembly manifest". So guys what I am missing?

Any input will be apprceiated.

thanks

Thanks Iskander for this information.

In some cases I want to use the stl file which created from the previous operations to solid and to put in some level for my next operation to use that solid as the stock. This stock stay with the mcx file and I am not worry about changing the workstation than i forget to transfer the stlfile for the stock.

You can use solidworks.

When you import stl files, you have button option and you can choose to import your STL as surface or solid. after you can export to parasolid and import in mastercam

You need PC with higth velocity
