How do you build your toolpanes for 3+2 work??

I use the Planes Rotate function and my origin

is aways 0,0,0.

At any rate, its very easy to check the origins of all your planes.

Planes/Nanmd View gives you a list of all planes

and origins, in one easy to read list

The only reason I ask is that if you create a plane via the view manager you can hit the red circle with a line through it to set the origin to 0,0,0. Via the planes button you would need to pick a point to reset it to 0,0,0. It's an extra click or two but I wouldn't let it keep me from using X2, there's soo many other things that more than make up for an extra click to create a plane.

If you are doing a lot of drilling you may want to check out prodrill if you haven't already.

Roger,

We do alot of milling and drilling with compound angle on aircraft parts. The drawing were created by hand about 30 years ago, 99% of them we don't have cad file, So we just create some 2d wire frame geo with points, lines and arcs for toolpath.

I already looked into other options, but in this case none of them meet our need.

Depend on your application: simple job = yes , complex job has more than 50 T/plane to create = No

Prodrill

Prodrill need 3d solid cad file.

That why we went crazy for this bug.
