View problem

I am trying to take a MCX drawing and save it as a dxf to take to the water jet machine. The problem I am having is that the file that I was supplied, when loaded into the waterjet, shows the top view..which is a flat side view. I can't see any of the features that I am trying to cut out. I made a new view but it won't import that view...it only imports the top view. Is there a way to change the top view to..say..the right side view?

Rotate your geometry without using your wcs so that the right side view becomes your top view

so leave it intop view and then rotate it and ave the file...that will work?

I can't create a new view using WCS because it only shows the top view in the waterjet

I think I have it...I used WCS=GVIEW and I had the GVIEW in TOP

use x-form rotate!!

 

rotate the draw not the UCS!!

when I rotate the drawing it only rotates around one axis and it remains a flat side view..I can'tr get the part to rotate up towards me...if that makes sense.

rotate in side view

it will rotate about the X axis

 

then the top view will show the side of your part!
