Hello all

I 'll be cutting heat treated D2 material tomorrow, hardness is 60-62 RC, what is the speed and feed for that? Using .75 dia Stellram TiAlN PVD coating EM, I am cutting on the side with .015 to be removed, 1.5" deep, I have never cut materials this hard. thanks in advanced for your helps.

Id prolly start @ 650 sfm minimum. (800 more likely) .002 chip load.

Full depth 1 semi-fin 1 fin pass.

 

Never used the Stellram mills (have heard good things though)

Gotta keep the surface feet up being that Tialn likes to cut hot.
