I am taking the plunge and buying the 3Dconnexion Space Explorer and am wondering what some of you preset your available button for. Say like some maybe "end selection" or "fit screen". I would like to have a general idea before I start using this weapon the wrong way!

any input would be appreciated!

Thanks

The Chipman!

When you install the drivers it will put some of the Mastercam options on the buttons.

Then you can configure it just about any way you want including making your own options.

(is there a way to tell it to spin from a certain location) Yes you can you can make one of the buttons as an option to pick as a rotation point. I do this.

i have the space navigator. i couldn't find anywhere that allows me to change the rotation point

Go to Toolbar Customization/View Manipulation.

Then drag the last icon on the right to your desktop, or add it to your right mouse button.

I tell you what.

I am still getting used to it but I have a Space Pilot in the office but to this point, it may be just familiarity, I like the hand position and the button relationship to it better on the Spaceball.

I have smallish hands and the row of buttons across the top are hard to reach naturally for me. I like the positions on the Spaceball because they are right there under your fingers.
