Message Icons

I've enabled 'Message Icons' to indicate specific topic categories. This will help members identify areas of interest at a glance.

Please use these conventions:

- Default and Other

- Mill

- Lathe

- Wire

- Design / Draft

- Post Processors

- DNC / Communications

I like the idea. But they are very small and hard to see. And without some sort of reminder of what they are I won't remember what they represent other then the obvious ones like mill, lathe and wire.

I will post these up in the Announcements at the top of the main page when I get a chance. The size can't really be helped. If you can remember Mill / Lathe / Wire, then it's a start.

I like the icons. UBB is really nice. It does some cool stuff. If you know HTML you can add stuff. I periodically add bold to add emphasis.

Maybe you could add an "HTML Code" section below the "Smiles Ledgend".

I'll search a bit longer for a 'bug' icon. The current icon is Dr. Watson. I thought that was funny. I was also unsure that members would equate a bug icon with 'software deficiencies'.

Yes, an Icon legend similar to the Smilies legend would help us Sometimers sufferers.

There's a list in the "Read This Before..." announcements area.

I would hope the that icons are intuitive. There are 198 icons in Mastercam now. No one really complains about those. There are only 14 icons here, most of which should be very easy to remember.
