Pasting a value from clipboard

I noticed that this does not work in Create Bolt Circle.

 

I lifted a value from Analyze entity(Radius of a circle) and it pasted in notepad but would not paste in bolt circle.

Have you tried right clicking the data entry field of bolt circle. Little menu pops up that lets you extract almost any value you could what from the graphics screen

you should try by right-click menu only for copying & pasting

 

ctrl+c, ctrl+v will not work in some tabs.

I now see that.

Try right click in the bolt circle dialogue and and it will not let you pick geom for values.

It only allows cut, copy, paste, del.

Unlike V9 with the (? enter) to get geom picks.

So, VX I lose yet another capability!

On the Forum FTP site in this folder -> /Mastercam_forum/X2_Add_Ons you'll find a BoltCircle (CHook for X2).zip file.

It contains (suprisingly enough) an X2 add-on that creates creates Bolt Circles.

It allows pasting into the fields of the dialog and supports the "standard" right mouse click options.

Just extract the (2) files in the ZIP into your CHooks folder.

Now in Settings - Customize, under the Geometry category you'll finds an icon for 'BoltCircle-X2'.

 

*** Note!!!

This does not replace the original Create - BoltCircle in the menus.

(It that is even possible, I don't know how to do it.)

I have found that on the fields that ctrl+c & ctrl+v do not work you can use ctrl+Insert to copy and shift+Insert to paste, but you have to clear the field out before you paste.
