Create Dimension 'edit' problem

Good Morning all.

 

(Making a quick setup sheet)

 

I have an insert and I offset the outer boundary

1/8" of an inch and then dimension the block

at 6.097.

 

It is rough stock so I would like to change the

dimension to 6-1/8".

 

Is this possible? I have exhausted my resource to

do this task.

Could you just stretch it .014" on each side

How do you stretch a dimension?

Bonus!! I Found it.

 

You can use analyse to edit the text in a dimension.

Also, from within "Smart Dimension", click the "Text" button (icon shows abc) and you can change it to whatever you like (or restore it back to the original number)

With X2MR1, within "Smart Dimension", click the dimension and type "T" for text bring up Text edit box.

 

Bring the mouse (pointer) over the icon, which letter is Underline that is the sort Key.

 

sort Key for X2MR1:

 

T = Text

H = height

...

 

 

With X2MR2. They change the sort Key around. Now

 

T = height

H = Horizontal

...

 

I couldn't find any sort key for Text ....

There is not one and I have pushed very hard to have one put back. The 2 options you have found are about the 2 I have seen for doing this. I have heard in X3 we might have a Short Cut key back for Text when doing dimensions.

Yeah and if look the test does not have a key for it anymore. They have had a key for Text when doing Dimensions Since 8.1.1 and a lot of use Solid Layout to do our set-up sheet, Operations Sheets, and other things needed for shop books I like the quick key, now I have got to click the text button on the ribbon bar or let it stay as is then use the analyze method after.

I don't understand why they took hot Key for Text away. If it is conflicts they could asign different letter.
