Is there a way to dynamically drag an entity along another entity?

not that I know of...best way I can come up with is.. more of a transform...

 

create points along the entity you want to drag it along...

 

then when you do a modify drag it will ask you for your start point...pick your entity you want to drag... and you will see a bunch of options across the top... I hit S for snap and just keep snapping a copy of it to the points as you move along the entity.

 

definetly NOT dragging it...but transforming it is the best way I can see it.

I have to use a 7" diameter sawcutter to split a part thru to the bore.

I am just looking to drag the 7" dia along a horizontal line to see where the holder will hit and the cutter will clear.

I can work around this, but it would be quicker to simply drag this circle in a straight line along X

modify-drag (then pick your 7 inch circle) then choose done. Then select move or copy...then select your drag start point....then across the top you will see the a bunch of options...hit the key "h" for horizontal and it should move in the X axis.
