If you use the Mastercam File Open to read STL files then no access code are needed for Viewing. If you would like to use the STL editing tools in Reverse then you will need access codes after the 30 evaluation period has expired.

I have downloaded a copy of the Verisurf for testing, will it work on X3? I haven't tried to install it yet.

We have an X3 download Here. Look at the bottom of the page. It works with the Latest MU release as well. You can Demo the whole thing for 30 days. We have slice and project curves onto mesh. We also have some very powerful smoothing tools for the STL and filter options. People who do a lot of reverse engineering like how these tools help them simply tasks.
