Operations Manager Copies

I'm running Xmr2. Anyone have a problem with operations reverting to "original" selected geometry when copying operations then revising them to use "other" geometry? This happens to me fairly regularly with drilling and milling operations. I won't copy anymore cause I never know when its going to do this and cause a crash. Any Ideas?

This was a known bug that was fixed in a later release

The work around for this was to NOT use Solid Geometry to drive the tools if you were going to copy tool paths

So *that's* why I've never seen this. I'm a geometry copying fool but I don't use solid geometry.

I guess we are gonna have to get back on maintenence and upgrade because we deal exclusivly with solids.

In the meantime, you could created edge curves and cut those. Or create surfaces from solids.

I have never used surfaces in Mastercam. Is there a magic, one button way to make surfaces on the entire solid?

In X2MR2 you go to create/surface/create surfaces

from solids.

 

Just have a new layer open when doing it.

I can only assume XMR2 does the same function.
