After you construct your new geometry, go to your operation in the operation manager, left click on geometry tab (this opens up the chain manager), right click in the chain manager and select rechain all (or rechain single if you have multiple chains and you are only changing one of them). After reselecting your new chain or chains, select OK and regenerate the operation.

If I understand your question correctly: I use "save as" and save the file under a new name or part number. Then make the changes to the drawing. If the changes cause a dirty toolpath, but I still want to use that toolpath, I just select the geometry in the operations manager, add or replace the chains as necessary, and regenerate.

edit: man, I'm slow on the keyboard! biggrin.gif

Many times I will save the file as a new name, and then just edit the existing geo if possible, then often times, you can just regenerate the tool path. For example say the part is .25" longer than the last part a radius on each corner. You can just transform/translate the arc for the corners, and the line for the end by the .25 and the trim the other lines to the arc. You could also edit the line, change the parameters of it, then move the arcs to the new line location(X isn't as nice for this as 9 was when you could just edit the arc and redifine it as a fillet ect).
