Anyone posting out Imaginary Tool Nose Number on Lathe???

This what most lathes use to know how the corner relates to it set-up position when in the machine. Mazak, Okuma, and, Fanuc all are the same. I am think I can pull the tool orientation out, but only see it referenced on custom tools. I am wondering how we could pull it out or off standard tools?? Any thought or suggestions would be appreciated.

 

If you are not sure what I am talking about create and operation in lathe. Use custom tool and on the Geometry Page the Tool Orientation is just like it is on these lathes.

I know what you mean but, I don't use these codes.

I ran only one machine that needed them, a VTL with a GE-1050HL control ca.1983.

We also used g41,g42 on this machine and had to tell the control what the tool nose rad was.

I only mess with the tool orientation setup on the machines if I'm using TNR G41/G42.
