I had similar problem with position of "Manual entry Comment" and "Operation Comment".

If I moved " commnent$ " in the post ,The Manual entry comment and Op comment go together. I would like to seperate them, So I can put anywhere I want.

Now: (with Mpmaster.post)

Prefer:

Any help is appreciated

I thought this should work.

code:

ptlchg_com      #Tool change common blocks

pcom_moveb

pcheckaxis #Check for valid rotary axis

c_mmlt$ #Multiple tool subprogram call

#ptoolcomment

if sof & scomm_sav <> snull,

[

spaces$ = 0

n$, pspc, scomm_str, *scomm_sav, scomm_end, e$

spaces$ = sav_spc

]

if sof = 0, scomm_sav = snull

if gcode$ = 1005, comment$

if gcode$ = 1006, comment$

spaces$=0

#if swcsplname <> snull, n$, pspc, scomm_str, "WCS NAME - ", swcsplname, scomm_end, e$

#if swcsplcomm <> snull, n$, pspc, scomm_str, "WCS COMMENT - ", swcsplcomm, scomm_end, e$

#if rot_on_x & stoolplname <> snull, n$, pspc, scomm_str, "TOOLPLANE NAME - ", stoolplname, scomm_end, e$

#if rot_on_x & stoolplcomm <> snull, n$, pspc, scomm_str, "TOOLPLANE COMMENT - ", stoolplcomm, scomm_end, e$

#if rot_on_x & sconstplname <> snull, n$, pspc, scomm_str, "CPLANE NAME - ", sconstplname, scomm_end, e$

#if rot_on_x & sconstplcomm <> snull, n$, pspc, scomm_str, "CPLANE COMMENT - ", sconstplcomm, scomm_end, e$

#if stpgrpname <> snull, n$, pspc, scomm_str, "TOOLPATH GROUP - ", stpgrpname, scomm_end, e$

#n$, pspc, scomm_str, "COMPENSATION TYPE - ", *scomp_type, scomm_end, e$

spaces$=sav_spc

pmisccheck

pcan

if plane$ < 0, plane$ = 0

if stagetool >= zero,

[

if omitseq$ = 1 & tseqno > 0,

[

if tseqno = 2, n$ = t$

pbld, *n$, *t$, "M06", ptoolcomm, e$

]

else, pbld, n$, *t$, "M06", ptoolcomm, e$

]

if gcode$ = 1008, comment$

spaces$=0

but it does not work. The NCI contains the 1005 and the 1008 information, but the post is not reading it. I tried saving the gcode to a variable and then recalling it in that section did not work. I also tried forcing an update that did not work on the gcode. The post will see the 1005 or 1006 and output it, but it outputs the 1008 or comments section on the same section of lines like now though it should not. I have never liked the way posts handle comments and think a new way should be developed that works more to what the operation is doing. I suspect though this problem is more to do with the mp.dll than a post problem since the logic is in the post to output this correctly.

Sorry I could not be of more help. Maybe this will get someone who does know attention and get a better way or response.

Although it isn't exactly the same problem, I posted this yesterday.

I am trying to figure another issue out but am running into the same confusing output that doesn't seem to correspond to the post logic.

In ver 9 the nci 1005-1008 info was very straightforward and was easy to place. X2 changed that and although it is explained in the post reference guide, I am still struggling with it.

I'll let you know if I make any headway because I think it might be a similar solution.
