mitsubishi Meldas 530 control

I am looking at purchasing a machine with this control and want to know if anyone is putting mastercam into this controler. I am not asking for a post, i will buy a post. I just want to know that someone else is doing it and having sucess with it

I have programmed a Meldas 50 and 60 with no problems in MC. Mitsubishi electronics are excellent but thay are not the most popular control on the market.

Excellent control in my opinion... Your standard Fanuc post should work fine.

Yes, fairly generic code used on those controls. The control is easy to learn and simple to use. Not much good for mass editing or on the floor programming though.

We have a might viper with that controller. I like using that controller too.

 

We use computer stations and not program on the controller so we don't tie up machine run time. I also would not like to stand their trying to program complex 3D tool paths at the controller. We have a mold/job shop enviroment.

I have run that control, programmed with MC9 at the time. No problems at all.
