  1. Unfortunately we are not in a position to offer a relocation package at this time. I have talked to a few placement firms but would rather try to hire someone direct first, If we can’t find the right person we may go with a placement company. Our wages are competitive for our region and we offer a couple health insurance options. Our current equipment list is as follows: CNC Milling Johnford SV32P Vertical Machining Center Fadal VMC15 Vertical Machining Center Fadal 4020 Vertical Machining Center Hitachi Seiki VA-40 Vertical Machining Center Hitachi Seiki VA-35 Vertical Machining Center Kiwa 510 Vertical Machining Center Compumill NC-3 Vertical Machining Center CNC Turning Miyano JNC45 Equipped With 12’ LNS Super Sprint Bar feeder Tongil NC20 Miyano BND34S sub spindle, live tools, LNS Bar feeder In addition we have the normal support equipment, manual mill, lathe, saws, etc. Over the next few years we plan to continue replacing the older machines with new. Applicants can send resumes and spelling corrections to [email protected] Joe Mattes TR Manufacturing, LLC 1106 S. 2. OK. So I need a Machinist and a spell checker.
  3. I had thought most would be happy to see a small business in today’s economy looking to hire, but instead we are just going to be ridiculed for having some older equipment? Maybe I have posted this in the wrong place? Joe Mattes TR Manufacturing, LLC 1106 S. Cowen St Garrett, IN 46738 Phone: 260-357-4679 Fax: 260-357-3487 Email: [email protected] www.trmanufacturing.com
  4. OK, I don't get it. What's so funny about a Fanuc OT?

  6. We are a small CNC machine shop located in Garrett, Indiana looking for an experienced CNC lathe machinist. We specialize in low volume, complex work pieces. Most orders are 1 to 50 pieces. Candidates should be familiar with Fanuc OT controls, have experience working in a job shop environment, and be proficient in the use of MasterCam or a similar cam system. Experience with 3 and 4 axis CNC milling would also be a bonus. We offer competitive wages and benefits and are a first shift only facility with a low pressure working environment. 7. I use to run a VM7 and a VM5. Good machines.
  8. Either way would probably work. With only 4 parts to do I wouldn’t use the cob cutter for fear of cracking the material.
  9. I’ll second that Carlisle is a nice area. Go there for the All Truck Nationals in Aug. Nice to see someone is hiring!
  10. We use mostly Kennametal right now but there is a local company called Cut-Pro. They are slightly cheaper than KM. I know some shops are using them and are saying good things. Will give them a try when we run thru our current stock. http://www.cutproindexabletooling.com/
  11. Dose anyone have a simple 3D part they use for testing 3D tool paths? We have 4 different machines with 4 different controls and we are working on tweaking our settings to try and get the most out of are equipment. I have seen the “Mercedes” test part but don’t have a file or anything for it. All the files we have in house are large and complex for just quick testing. I was just wondering if anyone had any kind of standard test part they could offer up. Thanks.
  12. I would lean to the Kia because of the all Fanuc electronics unless you are planning on doing probing. From what I have seen the Haas probing routines are more user friendly.
  13. "Haas GR512... very tight tolerances +/-.0001" I would rate this as nearly impossible to do with any consistency. You might get lucky and get one good part but I wouldn’t bet you can do two in a row! Don’t let it be your fault this doesn’t work. IMO you are exceeding the design intention of the machine.
  14. Peon, sorry to hear you are not getting the response you want from Johnford, we have been very satisfied with them as a machine and a company. SES covers Ohio and Indiana I have no idea if they would be willing to go outside their normal territory. I’d be glad to email you the contact info if you’re interested. By the way what model machine is this? Rick, Don did the install and the one or two service calls we’ve had, seems to know his way around the machine. We have had another tech come and do the yearly PM and he seemed top notch also.
  15. I have had the same thing happen. my tool lib. is old X and has been updated, to X3 now. I have found that closing restarting the computer and reopening the file fixes it.
