Mill slot help

Hey all i am getting brain dead I think. Trying to mill slots on a trunion in this part. I have spent all day trying to get it, I have done this before with no problems, any one want to help? file is in X2 folder on ftp site named 223C2447.MCX thanks in advance, need to get this running ASAP.

well Don what a blessing it is to know I am not the only one today. I am having the same trouble on a trunnion and I was just getting ready to post it. I have 8 cutouts at 45deg and the tool must stay parallel to the front plane. I can get it to move in A and orient in B but I cannot get it to rotate in the cut.

I cant post the file till tomorrow but would like to see what response you get. sounds like a similar problem..

 

My brain is toast on this one. trying to hard and I know I am getting way off base!

What is wrong with the code output? I posted it on a VF2 TR160 and the code looks pretty good. It is using inverse time.

Colin show me some code mine was way to many z moves

Don turn the filter on for the contour operation that will cut down the Z moves a lot. The loser the less Z moves, the tighter the more Z moves.
