Deleting levels and Work Groups

You don't delete levels. They're always there. You either use them or you don't. Remove all entities from them and delete the name assigned to them. That's as close as you're going to get.

To delete a group from the ops manager, right click-Groups-Delete.

I've never seen your hiding surface problem.

I think what's going on is that when a surface gets trimmed, the system retains an untrimmed copy and blanks it. If you unblank all, you'll get the untrimmed surfaces too. With selective unblanking you should be able to get only the trimmed ones. That's why I never blank, I use different levels instead.
