I was wandering if it is possible to make a stl file with a wcs. From what I see you can only use an stl file with the original origin.

In your config under converters make sure the box is

checked to create STL with current WCS.

That should do it.

Is that a new option with mastercam. I do not have that option at all. There is nothing about stl as an option.

when you are saving the .STL, there is a config box in the file save window where you can do that same thing. Look if you have that.

will that option fix making an stl file in verify when I'm not at mastercam's top workplane--which is typical for my work? If I make an stl file in verify it just throws the part out in outerspace and I have a heck of a time moving the stupid stl back to my wcs. I've tried a couple of times and gave up learning. Is there any idiots guide to moving stl's back to the current wcs?

I have my share of STL problems as well. I'm not at work but have you tried Xform STL to move your .STL file where you want it? Sorry if this doesn't help as I have not tried it myself yet.
